Darren's story:
Since our seats were unreserved, my friend and I made the decision to queue from about 5pm (the doors opened at 6:30). So, after a rather uneventful wait in the cold (albeit a rather amusing moment near the end when a guy near the front of the queue dragged his out-of-skull-drunk girlfriend up from the ground where she had been lying near-dead for over an hour). Once it turned half six, we pushed and shoved our way around the barriers and, after being body-searched, we were free to grab a seat. We managed to get a place in the fourth row from the front. The view was, inevitably, excellent.
At 8 o�clock, Simple Plan made their way onto the stage. To be fair, I didn�t dislike them to the extent which I thought I would, but they were nothing better than average. In fact, I cringed when they asked the audience, �So, who wants to hear some rock and roll?�.
It�s nine o�clock. After much anticipation, the lights are extinguished and the music begins. The setlist I can't remember the exact order, but it was probably very similar to that of the previous shows:

I'm not going to attempt to break the concert down song by song, quite simply because it would take too long and would involve me using the words �amazing voice�, �beautiful�, �poignant� and �amazing� a lot. While the entire concert was superb, the highlights were definitely I'm With You, Naked, Tomorrow, Fall To Pieces, Nobody's Home, Don't Tell Me and Slipped Away (Highlights? Half the bloody concert, more like). The above performances were powerful, deeply poignant, passionate, devastatingly beautiful and captivating muchly. The songs have a habit of resonating deeply with me since I relate to them on a profound level, but the live performances were beautiful beyond words.
Avril was energetic, passionate, happy and beautiful. The view was incredible. Everything about the concert was amazing. And, of course, being a fanatic, I got myself into a bit of bother with security on a couple of occasions. Security were intent on keeping everyone out of the aisles, and I was intent on screaming, dancing and jumping for the duration. Unfortunately, being on the edge of the row, I kept moving into the aisle, prompting a security guard to ask me "Do you actually have a seat?" on more than one occasion (even the person behind us asked my friend Is he mad? at one point). However, after the concert, I wanted merchandise, but I also really needed a drink, so I left the arena building and bought something from a vending machine nearby. Unfortunately, whenever we tried to get back into the arena building, we were stopped by security. Trying another entrance proved more successful. I was stopped by the security guard who told me during the concert to move in from the aisle.
"I'm sorry, but I can't let you in."
"Please, I just want to go to the merchandise stand. I'll only be a few minutes."
"Were you at the conce- Oh, hang on, you were! Yeah, I remember the dancing."
Quite simply, the concert was incredible. Words cannot describe the extent to which her performance moved, affected, excited, captivated and enthralled me. I am so grateful to her and to everyone who made it what it was. Thank you.

John's story:
Hi my names John and i was at Avrils concert in Belfast, I met her last night since i wrote this anyways, me an my friend went to see her at the odyssey and the place was packed out with fans, this was my 1st concert and was really looking forward to seeing Avril for the 1st time in person, i was really surprised at how brilliant she is singing live and every1 loved it. But we decided to leave 5 mins b4 the show ended so we could get round the back 1st, and im glad we did cuz we were the 1st ppl there we waited for at least an hour n half b4 she came out and we were losing hope that she would come out, at this time every1 was screaming round us to get closer, good thing we was at the front :) We were just about to leave until we heard all the chicks screamin and then she came out :O i was shaking i was goin to see avril up close!! she came out surrounded by bouncers an i started shoutin like f**k to get her to sign my ticket, she didnt know where to go 1st there was so many ppl but she came straight to me cuz i was closet lol she asked me did i enjoy it an i said yea u were f***in amazin an she laffed and said im glad to hear it, gave me her autograph an she touched my hand, i nearly fainted wif disbelief....as she went on to sign other fans stuff, i made my way across the road and shoutin Yeeeeooooo AVRIL!!! an she turned round an shouted YAAAAAAA!!! and laffed more, not as good as other ppls story but it is my only chance i'll ever have ta see her and it was the best, i friggin love her to bits! ah well nice 1 avril keep it up :D

Sophia's story:
My name is Sophia Illiopulos and I live in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Last year I won a MuchMusic contest to spend the day with Avril and have it documented on their "Gonna Meet A Rockstar" show and aired on TV!!!. I entered a video that showed me holding an Avril sign and flashing it to cars. My own version of "Complicated" was playing in the background. It was like a homemade music video. On April 8th, 2003, I was at my friend's 16th birthday party and Rick from MuchMusic Knocked on the door. When we answered, I couln't believe it!!! I recognized him and I knew that I won before he even said a word. I started cying instantly and soon the others followed. I gave Rick and the camara guy a tour of my room because they wanted to capture my posters on camara to show that I'm a hardcore Avril fan. He saw that I had a guitar in my room and asked me if I played and I said yes. I played the chorus of "Things I'll Never Say" for the camara. That night Rick flew me to Toronto where Avril would be playing the next day. I checked into a hotel for the night. I couldn't sleep!!! I couln't believe it!!! The next day (April 9th) I was supposed to be at the hotel lobby at 10:30 am, but I got down at 10:10 cause I was so excited. Evan was sitting in the hotel lobby, but I was too nevous to talk to him.I didn't know what to say. We arrived at Vinnie's arcade and pizza place and I sat down to wait for Avril. So much was going through my mind. It was the longest 10 minutes of my life. Then she finally came up the stairs with the band. She gave me a hug. My first words were I'm such a big fan" and she said "Thank You." We started the day playing games in the arcade. We played this Jurassic Park game where you shoot at dinosaurs and she was really amused by it. Then we played the Skiing game and wasn't very good at it. She kept wiping out. We both laughed. We played basketball side by side and Rick was like "Youre beating Avril!" and I was like "Really!"
Then, we sat down to eat and she ordered an olive and cheese pizza. Her fave!, some cheese toast and bruchetta. I thought her favorite pizza toppings tasted really bad. I just agreed to ordering it cause it was her fave. While we were eating, she asked if I was able to get tickets for her show and I said no. She handed me a pair of tickets to see her that night and gave me another hug.We cashed in our tokens for a prize. We both got change purses.
After eating we took a half-hour drive to an indoor go-kart track. In the van we got to talk about clothes, guys and our fave bands. She had a copy of "Let Go." She pointed out that the pants she was wearing that day were the same pants that she was wearing on the album cover. At the go-kart track, there was a photo booth and we did a picture together. She loved the photo booth. She was really amused with seeing her face on the screen. After the picture appeared on the screen, she clapped her hands and said "Yay!" She acted perky and it was so damn funny. We just drove around and Evan won the race!
Rick took me back to the hotel so that Avril could prepare fot her show. Four hours later, I went to Avril's sound check and she showed me the backstage area. There was this table back there with all this free stuff that the arena gave gave to Avril. She let me keep this little stuffed animal dog that was on it. She showed me her section. It had this sofa that she bought and her makeup table. Rick came over and told me I had to go. She told me that it was nice meeting me and that it was cool hanging out.I told Avril how much meeting her meant to me and she said "Aww" and gave me a hug. She was so sweet, nicer than anybody I've evr met. She is more sensitive than this "tough punk" that everyone labels her as. Evan was so nice too. Avril and the guys were awesome to hang with. I'll never forget it!!! :)

Shinae's story:
well i think the best thing i know about Avril for sure is she is very nice to her fans.i went to Avril's June 2nd 2003 try to shut me up concert in the Sydney entertainment centre it was my very first concert and i had a passion for Avril and a crush on Evan me and my aunty were in the very front row at the time Jesse colburn was playing guitar for her band we were right in front of him Avril before she sung complicated Avril said she wanted us to go crazy so we did me and another girl were picked to go up on stage Theo from gob was there and all the band Evan and Avril came over and when Evan came over i told him i loved him i don't know if he heard but he came closer i grabbed him and wouldn't let go but then a week later i went to channel v with my older cousin and Evan and Jesse came out Jesse signed my tie and got Evan for me and Evan remembered me oh my god but this year he waved at me at channel V's "undercover bunker" this year and i got pictures and Avri! l's autograph

Peta's story
Avril performed on Channel V's Want you want on Tuesday the 17th of August. After lining up for 10 hours we finally got in to rush to the stage area. Avril and Evan came on and sang three songs, My Happy Ending, Skater Boi, and Take me Away. Then they conducted an interview where the host asked Avril to demonstrate her Ice Hockey moves. Avril did and took out the host. It was excellent. He landed on his mike pack on his back and hurt himself. Good to see Avril take out someone twice her size. Between the interview and ad breaks I got to give Avril a gift and she signed some CD's for us. She was also asked to request a song and she requested Alanis' new single.
She then sang four more songs, He wasn't, Nobody's home, Don't Tell me,Complicated. Finally after an hour she left to go to Melbourne.
Great performance - she sounded perfect as usual. Well worth the plane fair from Brisbane. I was also lucky enough to land at the airport at the same time as her - so I went around to the international terminal and got to meet her. there were only three of us so I got an autograph on a poster I had made that contained pictures from her concert last year. It was great.

Caitlyn Amanda
i got to meet avril and her band on may 21 when they played 'the today show' in NYC. we actually got there pretty late and had missed most of the soundcheck (i was sad). but we have a friend that works for NBC and he had given us a phone number to call when we got there. he said that it might not work out -- but that if his friend had any time before the show -- we might be able to get really close to the stage (but not have to arrive very early). i honestly didn't think it would happen. but, sure enough...we called the number when we got there and our "friend of a friend" came over to where we were standing and called us out of the masses of people. all he had to say to get us past security was "they're with me". i was so impressed! anyway, evan and band came out awhile later to start setting up for the show. all the people i were with were too nervous to ask for his autograph so my mother called him out to the crowd. we were literally standing three feet away from the stage and there weren't many people near us. he came over and signed this card thing (with av's picture on it) for me. he also signed a few stuffed animals of mine (that they were handing out when we got there). as time went on, i got to meet all of the guys in the band and they all signed several things for me. i asked evan for a guitar pick and he was like "sure, i'll go get you one." he went onto the stage and tossed me a guitar pick! surprisingly enough, i didn't spazz out and i actually caught it! then (FINALLY!) avril came out!!! i was so nervous and excited! she was talking to a few people and drinking tea. when she was finished, i called her name and motioned for her to come over. she gestured "one second". a few minutes later she came over to me and MINE was the first autograph that she signed! she signed the same card that i had evan sign and she also signed two stuffed animals for me. i said "i love your hair like that, with the black...it looks awesome" and she was like "oh, that's so sweet! thank you so much!". it was the highlight of my life! she went on to play a most AMAZING set...and the camera even caught me and my mother TWICE! haha, we were totally rockin' out. afterwards, avril went out into the crowd to hand out tickets and stuff but the rest of the band was still close to where i was standing. when a lot of the people started to leave, i called evan over again. he came over to me and i asked him if we could take a picture together. he said "yes". after that we spent a few minutes talking about music and stuff. i told him how much i love his harmonies and how him and avril blend very nicely. i also told him i was trying to learn the harmonies for "my happy ending" but that it was pretty hard stuff. he said "yeah, some of it is pretty tough...but i'm sure you'll get it. i have faith in you!" ahhh, it was so cute. most definitely the best day of my life. i'll never, ever, ever forget it.

My name is Amber, this is my unbelievable story! I was at the Kiss concert 2004 in Boston. After a few hours of freaking out and waiting around AVRIL came on stage. She sang "Take Me Away", "My Happy Ending", "He Wasn't", "Don't tell me", "Sk8er Boi", "Nobody's Home", and "Complicated". We left her performace early, during "Don't tell me" to wait in line to meet her in the tent thing. It was like, 6:00. So I bought the pre-order cd paper thing and waited in line. I met some really cool people! It was so great. They all decided i was crazy, considering i fell over a couple times from excitement. So after an hour of waiting in line and talking, they let us inside the tent at 7. We had to wait in there for 15 minutes before Avril came in. I was like 8th in line... So we waited, and the girls near the curtain's opening started screaming. Avril walked in the tent and i literally started crying. I took a bunch of pics, but i was crying, i couldnt even see through my camera. The girl in front of me asked the security guy if she could hug Avril, and he specifically said "No." So I got up to Avril and she smiled at me. I gave her the poster and said "Avril, I love you" she smiled and said "Awww, thanks." So she signed the poster and looked up at me and smiled again. After not being able to talk for a second I asked "Would it be incredibly horrible to ask for a hug?" and she GOT UP, LEANED OVER THE TABLE AND HUGGED ME!!!! AVRIL LAVIGNE HUGGED ME. I thought i was going to die right there! Omg, I started balling, and the security guard pushed me out of the tent. I was crying for the next hour, freaking out. I couldn't believe she hugged me! I couldn't have been happier. Best day of my life. By far.

my name is maria, im from spain and i met avril today 9 july.... i met her because july 10th is my birthday and my aunt works for a really famous magazine. i was trying to get inside a room where people where taking pictures of her and interviewing her then this guy asked us if we had a pass 2 get in but we didnt n we told the thruth. he told us that avril was getting out of the hotel at 1:15 by a secret door which he told us where it was. avril didnt come till 2:15 but that hour was well worth it. avril, evan and their body guard, i asked avril if she could sing the picture that i had in my hand she smiled at me and said " yeah sure" while she tuched my arm.... i can say that this is the best day of my life even evan looked at me!!!! im going 2 her concert tonight with VIP tickets I MIGHT SEE HER AGAIN!

On May 18, 03 Avril Lavigne was coming to Buffalo, NY and I was going..Its around 3pm Me and my best friend Laura went to the Arena went to the front where people were sitting, then to where the radio station people were..Then we went in back..In back is where the tour busses come in..ok yes I asked on girl and she said Avril is already in there and yes I missed her..I was so mad..But she showed me on her video camera Avril skateboarding, and throwing something inside of her tour bus then walking in..About 10 minutes later I asked 3 of the sercuity guards if Avril is going to b coming back out they said that her family was in the arena with her so he doesn't think she would b coming out any time soon. So. waiting about an hour..(Nobody was standing with us) then I was like "Omg Laura, look!!" and she like "what" I was like that is Evan, Avril's lead guitarist! He walked over to some gurls near us to sign autographs and I ran over there and asked him politely if I could have an autograph and then get a picture. OK that is done..(I was wearing a backstage pass, it wasn't real but it sure looked like it) and he grabbed it (he touched my stomach) and said "Is this real?" I said "No" he said If u wanna try u can get backstage with this, and I was like "But then i dont want my ticket token away" He said "Then dont tell them u have a ticket" Then we were just chatting about it and about Avril, then he left. :'( He is so hot tho..And about 10 minutes later were talking to the gurl that showed us Avril on her video tape. We were talking to her, she was cool. About 5ish came around and we decided to go in front of the arena and tell the Kiss (radio Station) that we just met Evan,..We went up there and I told him we did, he was happy for us and just talked with his 4 about 10 minutes about Avril. Then we started to wait in line to get in the concert..About a half an hour later we decided to go back in the back of the arena to c if I could get backstage with the backstage pass, I did..it didn't work. We went back in front go into the arena waited for about an hour. Then got in..We ran to our seat, awesome seats I must say, Section 105 row, Right next to the stage,.OMG..About 7:30pm Wakefield came on then Autopilot off, they both were really good. Then at exactly 9:10pm Avril Lavigne came on stage, she was awesome..She sure knows how to put on a rockin show..About 2 minutes b4 avril came on there was a camera guy showing how she is about to come on stage..it was so awesome..I wanted to cry..(no, not really) I was just excited. Avril stayed on til' 10:30ish, After we left our seats called Laura's mom to come pick us up but she was already here..we found her then Laura had to go in back of the arena and get her jacket..(b/c she throw it back there cuz she didnt wanna hold it) but we got her jacket and asked the sercuity guard if Avril left yet he said she was taking a shower, then should be coming out in about 15 mintues. Then as were passing by some hot person was signing autographs (it was Matt, Avril's drummer) I got a hug and I autograph on my shirt. Then we completely left..Must say Avril, gurl u rock!!!

hey well i went to the june 3rd concert of avril at the sydney entertainment center and she rocked!afterwards mysis had to pay the toll for parking and we saw all the avril fans chanting avril! avril! i saw avril for like a split second and then a guy with a camera on the otherside of the fence was filming everyone,after 15 mins of watching avril and stuff i went to go sit back in the car.i was watching the pepole pack the stage up and i saw evan and matt walk past i was like frozen with an open mouth _expression cos i saw them and i was such an idiot for not getting an autograph but they both look so hot in the flesh then in the vid clips.. rock on!

hey, i went to avril's toronto concert, and also her buffalo concert and after the buffalo one, i met her! it was amazing! so real...but didnt seem real u know? yah, so at the venue outside she skateboarded over and didnt look too happy, she hardly looked at anyone./.(except for me) cuz i was holding out 3 cd covers and was like "sorry, they're for my friends"...and then she just looked at me and kinda smiled...and then she left after that...and THEN i knew these girls that are kinda stalkerish...and then they knew where she was staying...so we went there and waited for her...and then we got pictures with her there, and she was much more happy at her hotel, and talked more. it was so cool...

I was at the mall in New Jersey the day before Avril went on TRL to premere the Sk8r Boi video. I was walking around and I saw this short girl with "emo" glasses and slightly frizzy hair (avrils natural hair type). She was wearing bracelets a white shirt, and big black camo pants. I kept seeing her but I didnt say anything. Then I saw her again when I was about to go in spencers, and she walked in first, and started looking at all the bracelets. She kept looking at me like she knew I thought it was her but she was waiting for me to say something. Then when I went to go up to her, her cell phone rang and she said "They want me there now? Ok." and left. To this day I wonder if it was her or everything just fell together to make me think so...Whenever I think about it, I just tell myself "it wasnt avril" and try to convince myself it wasnt.

Laura's story
K,so it was Friday 21st of March 2003.The day i was to see AVRIL LAVIGNE in concert.i couldnt wait.That nite i SO wanted to go hours early,you know, to guarantee us a good place.My Dad was having none of it though.Anyways,when we DID turn up, the queue was HUGE.i mean, it was like a mile long.i was like,'i am so not queueing in that' and we pushed in near the front.hehe.We got tlking to the girls infront of us,and not long after the doors opened.i was so excited,i kept jumping about like a mad woman.k, so the concert kick started with a band called 'Our lady peace' me n my 2 friends kerry n stacey felt really embarassed, cos every1 was jumping up and down and singing along, and we had no idea who they were!!!!Anyways,they went off, and 'TRY TO SHUT ME UP TOUR' was projected onto the black curtain.she was coming on!!!!! the red star was then projected, and then Avril and the band came on!Every1 was jumping n it was great, although we r onni small n cunt really c much, but we did have a gr8 avril look-a-like standing nxt 2 us with her boyf.She lukd well gud! i was so jealous of her!After 11 great performances, the concert finished.We ran straight to the merchandice stand.I wanted a hoody, but i onni had �25, so i bought a giant poster and a green tee with avril lavigne written in camouflage, along with the star.My dad was picking us up,but he was l8 so we went to a nearby garage 4 a can of pop.When we came bk,my dad was there,and e said he'd gone round the bk cos he thought we'd be waiting at the stage doors to meet her.we were like,'you can do that????' this was out 1st concert on our own, so we dint exactly no.I think there was about a second frm my dad seyin that 2 us beeibg dwn at the door.The crowd was massive though, and we thought we'd have no chance cos we were right at the back. the atmosphere was amazing though,there were ppl chanting Avril Avril! etc, and groups of peeps breaking into song.It was brill.Then one of the windows of the building opened up, and there was Avril, hanging out,her long brown hair blowing in the wind.Every1 cheered with excitement,and then she went.We neither saw or heard nothing for the nxt 2 hours,and the crowd was breaking dwn.it was 12.30 in the morning, so ost ppl got tired and went home.but not us.my dad came frm the car n tried to make us go, but i refused.i HAD to meet Avril. the crowed got smaller, to about 50, and we managed to push our way to the front,just in time to meet Evan!!!! omg, i nearly fainted, he was SO gorge! I handed him the ticket to sign, and he looked up at me,gave a little smile,and said.'i hope you enjoyed the concert.' His canadian accent was just so cool, and i nearly fainted. id never met any 1 even slightly famous b4!!! Evan then went into the tour bus nxt to us, and it turned out that as we were at the garage, matt and charlie and jesse had alreddy been and gone.we didnt mind tho, as long as we hadnt missed avril!!! Sure enough, at 1.00 am, Avril came out. every1 screamed, and i started crying. we called out her name, and she came over. my friends got their phones signed, and i got my ticket and t-shirt signe.She was so small it was unbelievable!!!!!! she was really pretty as well though. Our friend portia who we'd met there stared crying cos Avril missed her out n didnt sign her ticket so we ran to the end of the barriers where avril was (everyone else who had got their things signed had gone) she was gonna get in the tour bus, but we shouted her over and asked her to sign it cos she was crying.Avril smiled,signed the ticket and said 'awww come here,,' and gave portia a hug! As we were the only ones there, we all gave her a hug too, and stood tlking 2 her 4 bout 10 minutes, before her body guards decided enough was enough,and escorted her into the tour bus.we all ran to my car, cryind and smiling, we had so many emotions going at the same time. this was the best time of my life.Then, as we were going dwn the motor way, we saw a huge bus behind us, similar to Avrils. but we though, nah, it cant be. then as the bus came closer, we could just see a shadow of a short long haired laas at the front of the top section of the bus. we screamed out of the window at her, and we saw the shadow wave at us! So not only had we got 2 meet, her, but were officially the last bunch of fans to see her thats day...how kool is that?? avril rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jessica's story:
Me n my boys (kai and rayner) had travelled all day on the train from north to south to see Avril that night (March 26th 2003 Brixton academy). When got to London we got my uncle to book us in at the hotel (too young to do it ourselves) and set back out to get to the concert. The concert rocked! And at the end we went to see if Av had gone but to our disappointment her limo had just left L we thought that was it! We were never to see Avril again. That night we ran around the Hotel making as much noise as possible singing avril songs and skating thru the lobby and got chased.
Next day : 27th March 2003 (last day of Avrils UK tour)
The boys and me went back into Brixton noticing the Skate Park next to where Avril was playing. We decided that�s what we were gonna do all day, skate around in there. (it was a school day so we had the whole park to ourselves J ) we had been there for quite a long time so kai and rayner went to the shop to get us some food whilst I stayed and to skate. I was sat having a drink when I saw two males skate in laughing, they looked a lot like Evan and Jesse!! But I thought to myself "ok how stupid are you gonna look if it isn�t them" so I left it and carried in skating. I tripped and fell off my board and hear someone laughing, I looked up and there was AVRIL LAVIGNE herself stood laughing at me at the next ramp. My jaw just dropped in surprise!! Evan shouted over "you okay??" and I managed to get out �"ye�yeah fine thanx, it kind hurt tho" and stood up. As I was standing up Avril, Evan, Jesse and Charlie started to walk over to me!! I was getting really excited but managed to control myself.
Evan looked at my leg and said "ouch, gotta of hurt" and smiled. I nearly died!! His smile is soooo nice! I stood and talked to them for a bit and then my friends came back. Kai shouted "who the hell are you talking to now" and Avril shouted "me!" when my friends got close enough to see her they just stood looking at her in amazement and Avril obviously thought their reaction as funny because she started to laugh again. We talked some more and then Jesse said "shit man, Avril we gotta get back" so avril turned and said "sorry guys, guess I have to go, wish I cud talk sum more�" Evan said "yeah u guys seem pretty cool�you going to the concert tonight by any chance?". We said no and told them that we had been the night before. They just nodded and said "we�d give u a ticket but its all sold out, we don�t have any left" and then Jesse said "and I doubt LA would agree with us letting you in�sorry guys" so we said it was okay n Avril waved and they walked away!! It was sooo f*cking awsome!! Avril was so nice we cudnt believe it!. But no no, it doesn�t end hea!�
That Night
It was about 12:00 at night and me n the boys were sat in the Lobby having a drink when we saw a limo stop outside, we ignored it seen as we were having fun getting drunk. On the way back up the Room about 3 mins after I had my headfones on and was listening to complicated. Sum1 tuk off my headfones from behind and said "oh man am I so sick of that song?" I turned around and it was Avril!! I was very very shocked! Rayner said "what the�what you doin hea" and she said "ah, you didn�t know I was staying hea did you?" he said "ermmm�no!" Kai said "ahh, and I bet you didn�t know we were staying hea did you?" and she just looked at us�Evan said "hey I remember now! Its just clicked! I knew id seen you be4 the skate park. You were the guys that were getting chased thru hea last night weren�t you?" and started to laugh. Charlie said "you guys are mad"
Avril and the guys went back to the Lobby with us and had a few drink but Avril started to get annoyed after a bit because so many people were comeing over to her so she decided to go back up to her room and INVITED US WITH HER!!! We were like HELL YEAH!! We parted all night! Completely trashed the room! The next day we went to the lobby to say bye to Avril and she said "you guys have made my trip over hea, this stuff doesn�t normally happen" we were so touched :P Jesse said "ehat she means is�well�fans are normally too clingy and stalk us" Evan said "yeah, you guys are pretty down to earth"�Avril said "gonna miss you guys" and we realised we didn�t have an autograph or anything!!! So we asked for a photo and she said "argh, knew it was gonan come�.nah im only jokeing�.course you can" and we all got a photo taken�Avril then tuk of 3 bracelets and gave one to us each and said "to remember me by, haha�cya guys, got a concert tomorrow" and waved bye..EVAN THEN HUGGED ME!!! *swoon* it was the best thing ever!!! I cant wait till she comes next time!! She might stay at the same hotel again!! Hope she remember us. See now arent you ppl jelouse? :P

Sarah's story
Okay, so when she came to Montreal for a concert, I was so excited and got there about two hours earlier. They let us in and i sat down in my seat, which was right next to the stage. I thought that this would be just a concert, but it turned out to be the best night of my life. I looked to my left and could clearly see backstge. She was sitting in a room drinking something and was being interviewed. I was so overwhealmed, but I managed to croak out the word 'Avril'. A very large man came to shut the door right away, but I still saw her wave at me. The concert started off with God ans Swollen Memebers (two other bands) who I met signing autographs. About half way into the concert, she came over to the left side of the stage and looked right at me and smiled, and then threw her guitar pick to me. I thought that it was the happiest day of my life, but then i got thinking, 'So she looked at me. No big deal, it's not like she'll remember me or anything. Maybe she wasn't even looking at ME.' So, I still had a spark of happiness left in me, but was a little disappointed. The concert ended, but my brother and I stuck around just incase she would come out, but that was just a drea, so we left.Since he didn't have his car, my parents had to pick us up, who were late and got lost. We finally got to the car and got delayed again. By the time we were on the road it was about 12:30 in the morning. We had seen limo's going past us all night. So when we saw an other one, I opened up the window, took off my coat to reveal my 'Avril Lavigne' shirt and hollered "AVRILLAVIGNE ROCKS! I AM HER BIGGEST FAN!!!", just for the fun of it. But to my surprise, a window from the limo went down and I realized that I was face-to-face with Avril Lavigne herself! I was so overwhealmed that I cried, but she started talking to me, and we just talked until she had to go to her exit. I will never forget that moment, and after I won a contest, found out that she in fact DID remember me!

Where: San Antonio, Texas (sorry dont know if its spelled right) at the SA Colasium.
Ok so this is what happen: I was in a hurry to go to the parking lot of the concerts area of performing. My friend Selena, her mom, and my mom were all stuck in this big line that strenched about over an mile. It was leading to the entrance of the Colasium. So finally after 45 minutes of waiting we were in. We heard that Simple Plan was gonna do an autograph session after their gig that was part of the tour opening for Avril. So we were so lucky to buy something and bring a pen so they can sign it. So later after a few minutes of PAINFUL pushing through crowds we found our seats. We were on the third row and which was very very close to the stage. I was so excited and my friend was almost gonna slap me if I didn't stop saying I love you simple plan! (LOL) So then the show started. GOB came on and performed about 6 songs. In my opinion they looked the Sum41 cause they were so wild and had the resemblence. So later Simple Plan came on. I was jumping so high and got on top of the chairs. I actually was out of my mind to throw my studded bracelete at David. Thankfull he caught it and said, "Thanks" Then after a song I realized my little top had came un-done and my bra was actually fallin down and was showing. Then right after that exact second, Pierre the singer of the band said " You know why we love TEXAS.. CAUSE GIRLS ARE WILLIN TO SHOW US THEIR BRAS!!" I was so shocked and my friend was like OMG PIERRE IS PERVERTED. Anyway after that Avril came on. She spiced things up by playing over 11 songs. Then between the song "Complicated she got fans on stage." Then I was so excited and freaked out that I threw two jolly rancher lolly pops a tthe crowd. One guy picked it up and gave it to Avril. She then put it in her pocket. I was so happy.. she was gonna eat it. LOL So then after that my mom went to the autograph session of Simple Plan. She got all there autographs and actually got to touch their hands.. LOL! Then I went to the Avril autograph session. There I got to shake her hand and get her autograph. Then she hugged me and I told her "You were really happy huh?" "Fans were throwing over $500 worth of wrist bans and necklences up there" Then she was like,,," Ya I was tryin to sing a serious song and like laughed pracitically all of it out" "I got a new studded belt thanks to the lucky cute guy" It was so cool meeting her. She is so different and short (lol) in real life. I was so happy!!!!!!! Anyway I hope and wish her the best! And pray to meet her again and Simple Plan!!

Ok...so I went to watch the gurl herself at the Brixton Academy on the 25th March 2003 with my bro, best mate, etc for my 21st birthday...it's like an all standing venue so the earlier you get there the nearer the stage you get, so naturally i made sure we all got there pretty early...early enough that we were like 50 people back in the queue (there were a load of canadians and europeans who had pretty much camped over!!..fair play) Anyways, after a few hours of standing around in the queue me and my mate decided to go for a walk round the back of the Academy cuz there was a skate park round the back and we were gonna watch for a while. So on our way round the back i saw this guy, about my age, holding a walky-talky so i went over and asked when she was getting here and where she was gonna go inside...i think due to the fact that i was an older guy he thought he could tell me, relying on the fact that i probably wouldn't give a damn anyway...oh how wrong the little man could be!! So he told me she was turning up at about 4.30pm for a sound check and kinda pointed to the door she would go through (which wasn't the main back entrance). The time was about 3.45pm so we decided to wait by the door and see if we could see her when she turned up. 4.30pm came and by now a small crowd (about 30) had gathered at the main back enterance, my mate had left, so it was just me leaning up against this other door. With that, this silver Chrystler people carrier pulled up, outside my door, about 10ft away from me. I could just see her through the slightly blacked out window, and she casually looked up and out the window in my direction, (i would say she looked rite at me seeing that i was the only person standing at in her view point besides the academy which was behind me) and as i expected the crowd of kiddies came running and screaming holding up their posters and stuff. They all crowded round the car door to get her autograph, so i decided to hang at the door, and i was literally the only one who had thought to do that. I had a spare ticket which i had planned to sell to the tout guys but decided to keep it as a momento, so i thought i'd try to get it signed as she walked past. Anyways, the band came out first, signed one or two things, generally kept their heads down and walked into the academy, then out came Avril. Everyone went mental but i made a point of staying as 'cool and calm' as possible so 'if' she saw me she wouldn't think i was some kinda loser stalker guy!! So she, as usual, kept her head slightly down, kinda half smiled and nervously waved at the crowd, didn't sign anyone's stuff at the car, but as she got nearer to me i just put my ticket and pen out infront of her giving her enough time to see it. Cuz i was bigger than pretty much everyone there see saw me pretty easily, and amazingly walked straight up to me, stopped, smiled, said "hey", and signed my stuff. I gave a cheesey, but controlled grin back, said thanks or something and went to walk off. With that i realised that i forgot my pen. So i quickly turned back (i'd only taken like a step and a half away) to see who else's things she'd signed and given my pen to...but as i turned, i saw that she hadn't signed anyone elses stuff, she was just standing there, looking straight at me, holding my pen up, kinda half smiling / laughing at the fact that i'd realised she still had my pen. So i walked over, said "yeah sorry bout that...you enjoy the concern ok", and she replyed "yeah i'll do my best...thanks...hope you like it", I naturally said something like "oh i will...don't you worry bout that"!! Then she gave me this little smile and sort of raised her eye brows twice quickly in succession, gave me my pen and turned to go in the building...Out of the whole crowd who went to see her that night i was the only guy to get that experience...it naturally felt like it lasted a second, if that, by that little grin of hers will stick in my mind for a hell of a while yet, and that ticket and pen she used will stay on my wall for the rest of my life!!! Couldn't of wished for a better 21st present!!

Manchester Gig- Try to shut me up tour- Avril Lavigne- 21st March 2003-Ellen Tomlinson-Manchester England.
It was Friday the 21st of March, There was no way I was going into school today, I knew that and my parents knew not to disagree because this was MY day, I'd been looking forward to this day for fuck knows how long. I knew that this had to be the best day ever. My mate Rhea knocked on at my house at about 8.15 and we left for 8.30, We were at the bus stop going to Manchester and the bus drove past us going to school, we got some funny looks but most people knew where we were going as we hadn't shut up about this day until the day we got our tickets, Avril Lavigne was practically all we lived for.We arrived in Manchester at around 9.15, and we had to get another bus to Manchester University because Id arranged to meet up with a girl from the Internet to buy the Wilkesboro T-shirt from her, but the t-shirt was too big, So we went into Manchester's Food chain and waited for our other friend Tara, She took it upon herself to keep us waiting for an hour. Finally she arrived. Rhea and me couldn't contain ourselves. It still didn't feel like today we were guna see Avril Lavigne Live. I suggested we walked to the Apollo, It'd kill a bit of time and it'd be a good laugh, and help us to calm ourselves down. Well Rhea, and me Tara was more interested in her cig (js kidin m8) We walked but come to a dead end. So we got on a bus to the Apollo and all we said is 'WERE GUNA SEE AVRIL LAVIGNE TODAY!' passengers to the right said they were too, but it was 11 o'clock and they weren't going for another 7 hours! We got off the bus, and walked past the entrance there were people sat down already, but not too many. We noticed some tour buses on a field, but the last thing we ever thought that they would be Avril's. We got talking to a big hairy dude in a black vest, (turned out to be Avril's body guard) I tried to steal his COOL all access pass off him for a joke but he wasn't having any of it. He then informed us that the bus about 2 yards to my left, held a sleeping Avril Lavigne. I couldn't believe it, but I mean literally didn't believe him, and thought it was a pile of shit. Then I looked forward at the back entrance. And there right in front of me was Charlie! I screamed at the top of my voice " OH MY GOD IT'S CHARLIE!!!!!" I got some funny looks off fellow Avril fans as they stood about looking like it was an everyday thing that Avril's bassist is stood right in front of you. Charlie smiled and disappeared quickly. I know it sounds such a clich� but I actually thought it was a dream and questioned myself, was Charlie in my imagination? We got talking to some Avril fans from Liverpool; I told them I had presents for Avril and Evan. (Now I wish I had one for Jesse!L) I loved Evan soo much, he's so hot. They told me he'd been in the tour bus for a banana and back out, but they didn't say anything to him (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Then after about half an hour Evan came out. But I cudnt say anything, I turned to face the wall and began crying, All the Avril fans were laughing and stuff, but we all had a laugh together. We waited around for hours. The Avril fans were so cool, and we all had a gr8 time. Then I saw Evan, This time I wasn't guna let me go. IU ran over to him. But behind that gorgeous smiling exterior Evan was nothing that I thought he would be. He was so weird, And backing away from us, he was hesitant to have his picture taken with us and stayed out for less than 5 minutes. But he's still fucking hot!!!!!! He posed for 2 pictures with me, and he shuck my hand and asked my name "Ellen.WE HAVE THE SAME INITIALS!" I was so embarrassed; it just came out because I was so nervous. Evan said he had to go but would be back out later, I wads crying my eyes out, I loved this dude! He thanked me for his present and waved and went somewhere. Tara was bored and went to the pub next to us, Me and Rhea couldn't understand her, THIS WAS AVRIL'S TOURBUS!!!!!! Then Charlie came back out, I asked him to sign my face and started a whole body part signing sesh. He was nice and posed for some photos, and went back u cud tell he wasn't used to the attention. I was stood next to sum people, Rhea, Sarah a freaky Avril fan from Newcastle but she was cool, And Angela and Ben from Liverpool. We all had a right laugh together, mostly at my expense because I was 'obsessed' but we had a wkd time. But I was starting to get worried. The queue was taking form and we had to decide whether we wanted to stick around and meet Avril or queue so we were guaranteed front row. I chose to wait and Meet Avril, Because this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. And the fan atmosphere was AMAZING. But then Angela and Ben said that we could get in the queue with them, as they were at the front of the queue. I couldn't believe it, WE WERE GUNA BE RIGHT AT THE FRONT, AND MEET AVRIL! It was all too much I was all giddy, ands it was all thanks to Angela and Ben. At about 2 o'clock, I saw Jesse walk to the tour bus. I felt sorry for him as no-1 shouted him, But as he had a baseball cap on I was still wondering if it was him, I told Sarah to shout him, he turned around and told us he'd be 5 minutes. Matt came out and he has the most wonderful eyes ever. He posed for pictures then went bk into the tour bus. Then Jesse came out, he was real shy at 1st. He signed some stuff, like paper and my cheek, this girl's hand. I asked him to write I love you on paper followed by his name and he did. He was talking to us for at least 2 hours. And I could definitely say now Jesse was the coolest person I have ever met. Me all made up a song about Tony Blair and the war, I can't remember it exactly but I know it ended it in suck my cock. I kept commenting on Jesses cool Canadian accent as he kept saying oot and aboot. He also tried to make a security guard laugh, but the security guard started getting nasty thinking he was just a fan, until he was notified he was in the band, and he easened up. Jesse kissed me, and I kissed him. He was so stubbly, and soon after I'd forgot about Evan and I LOVED Jesse! He told us a joke about superman, signed more stuff, made us laugh more, asked me where he cud buy a t-shirt from, I told him id take him, WE WERE GUNA GO SHOPPING!! Until a woman told him there wasn't any shops round here, only in the middle of Manchester. I was gutted! He stayed for ages, shown us his cool Lego watch, and reminded himself of what shoes he was wearing, and wrote no war on his hand. He told us he had to go wind down and blow some people up on grand theft auto vice city. Everyone was in a good mood then, and all said how lovely Jesse was. About another hour passed and Everyone was just talking, Then the door opened of the tour bus opened, The light was shining and I couldn't see, All I saw was long hair.yes long hair. IT WAS FUCKING AVRIL FUCKING LAVIGNE. Her hair covered her face; she came out armed with a marker pen, which I thought was sooooooooooooooo lovely. I couldn't move. I had been waiting for this day for so long, I had loads of stuff to say, my main priority was a hug, But I cant explain it, For people who haven't met there idols yet, I tell you its so weird your mind goes blank and u cant think. I had tears in my eyes, She came to me "I bought you a present Avril" It was a t-shirt saying if you don't like my attitude.FUCK OFF. It was in a bag so she couldn't see it. "AWWWWW THANKS" She said. She dropped it though, apologized and her security guard picked it up, she smiled. Avril can you sign this please, I said, " I'm sorry I have to go" "Pleeeeeeeeasssse Avril" she smiled and signed, explained she had to go for her sound check and was taken thru the crowd door. Everyone was in shock. Avril Lavigne had spoke to me. Ellen Tomlinson. I had spoke to avril lavigne.OMG!!!!!! Everyone was getting more and more tired, id been standing up waiting for about 7 hours, so I felt like I had to go sit down, I went and took my place in the queue. AT THE FRONT (Thanks Angela and Ben) Time passed and we all spoke of how we met Avril. And JESSE! It was then 6.30, doors opened @ 7. That half an hour, I shit you not felt like 3 hours. Then the men came to the door. We were guna be let in, I eased my way to the door, and he opened it, Rhea ran, not giving a shit about being told not to. I walked and looked down, I saw Rhea's face 'ELLLEN!!!!!!ELLEN!!!!!!!" She had her arms wrapped over the barrier. All these months of waiting had paid off. I was guna be right at the front. I was getting very scared, the crowd were going mental asking for avril, there were so many people pushing against me. I felt I was guna die, but at least it was in the presence of Avril Lavigne. Our Lady peace cam eon, they were so gr8 to warm us up. And did a really great job. They went off, they changed all the equipment. And a black curtain went down. All you could see was feet, and everyone was screaming at the site of black converse.THERES AVRIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was very funny, and then a projection of 'TRY TO SHUT ME UP TOUR' took its place on the projection. All u cud hear was stomping of feet. Screaming of fans, and my ribs cracking against the barrier because of the hunger of fans. Then it was 9.00, the red avril star was projected onto the logo. The intro of sk8er boi came on, the curtain lifted. And there, stood in front of me, was Avril Lavigne. The crowd was phenomenal. U couldn't hear a thing, I kept smiling at Jesse. He was so cool, and looked so hot, Evan was smiling at everyone, and I cud think was 'FAKER!' lolAvril got set into my favorite song ever- nobodies fool; I was so excited as id looked forward to this song forever. But all I had was big orange men pulling the fainters out of the crowd, That was what I saw mostly all night, Big orange sweater mean, and feet being dragged over my head. Then when she sang basket case, The crowd, went absolutely MENTAL. I was electric, Avril was grinning, the crowd were amazing but people were being dragged out every minute after fainting etc. Then too much to ask came on, on the 2nd verse aril came out into the crowd and walked towards rhea and me on the pegs. She stopped where mine and rheas shoulders met. Rheas hand was on her left hip, mine on her right, throughout the whole chorus it was amazing, I looked up, and I cud see up avrils nose.IT WAS FUCKING AMAZING. As she walked away rhea touched her hair, but I couldn't move. I was frozen! She got two ppl out to sing complicated, the boi didn't even know the words and just harassed avril with kissed and ass touches.HE ROCKED! Lol the crowd were getting worse, the guards tried to pull me out but I told them no, Id been wanting this night too much. Mine and Rhea's song was things ill never say, it reminded us of each other, and the last song all I heard was.LADDEEDADALADDEEDAA, me and rhea went MENTAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the best song to end that night with, The lights went out and Avril and her band toddled off. It was the best day/night of my whole 15 years and will be forever. Avril is amazing. I can't wait till her next tour. But I don't think we will be as lucky to find another Angela and Ben! Jesses made that day more complete, what a fucking hottie!!!!!!1 JESSE ROCKS! And as for the t-shirt I bought Avril, still no sign of it, I think she just forgot about it and left it at the Apollo, its not as if she cant afford to buy her own t-shirts!!! Hi, I went to the gig in Manchester on the 21st of March and it was fuckin AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!! I swear it was the best day of my life! me and my friend got in2 town early so we could get a good place as we had standing. As we got there we noticed lots of tour buses, we ran over 2 this guy who was canadian and started talkin 2 him, he turned out 2 be with our lady peace and after a little chat with him we made ourselves comphy outside Avril's tour bus. After about half an hour we met Evan, Matt and Charlie. We had pictures and things then they went inside. Soon after Jesse came out 2 see us. He is the nicest person i've ever met in my whole life!!!!!! He must have been with us for an hour at the least, he was signin everyones atuographs, havin pictures done with everyone and tellin us jokes. I AM NOW IN LOVE WITH HIM! LoL. Anyway, the security came out and started puttin barriers up so we couldn't get 2 the tour bus, we all knew it was coz avril was soon to come out. All of a sudden i saw the door open and saw this long hair! I couldn't believe it and i must say i was pretty god damn star struck! lol. She came out with her own pen and signed atuographs, she signed me an atuograph but then walked away with it still in her hand and i was like " Hey, Avril, thats for me" She turned round and sed "Oh I'm sorry" and passed it me back. So I didn't really meet her, i just got her autograph but I thought i'd let u know :) Avril is soooooo cool and her boys are fuckin GREAT!!!! especially JESSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! x x x x x x x

I'am Margot Kuyper and I live in Holland. In a place that's called Roosendaal. On 17th march 2003 i was on a concert from Avril Lavigne. It was in Amsterdam, the capital of Holland. It was from 8 o'clock till 10 o'clock. First there was a hardrock band. They have playd one hour. Than we have wait 45 minutes and than she came on stage. She starded whit singing 'sk8erboy'. And more songs like: 'nothing bud ordinary', 'why', 'complicated', 'i'm whit you','i don't give a damn' and more and more songs. By the concert ware some stores, there were t-shirts, posters and caps. I'll hope to see her again. When she comes to Holland again. I have make to some pictures by the concert.

Olivia's story:
Okay so me and 12 of my friends and my friend's mum went up to Dublin last Sunday 23/03/03. We crashed at Rachael's granny's house and soon enough we left for The Point with her mum and aunt. Whne we got there, we queued for a while and eventually got in. We got to wander around and buy stuff and then we got to our seats. We were in the balcony and we had made signs saying "WE LOVE EVAN" and held them up for the ppl in the standing area to see. And they did, and loads of ppl were looking and pointing and waving and doing devil horns at us. It was really cool. The Our Lady Peace came on and THEY KICKED ASS. I got really really into them. Once they finished, a curtain went down and ppl did sound checks and stuff for a while. The "try to shut me up" came on the curtain in lights and a white star in a red circle light was floating around it. It was then that everyone in the standing area noticed that Bryan Mc Fadden from Westlife was sitting 5 rows in front of us. So me and my friends chanted "Westlife suck" at him cos we hate Westlife. Then The curtain went up and Avril, Evan, Jesse and Tony bounced onto the stage. They played Sk8er Boi and they kicked even more ass. During Mobile, which was the third sond, Evan noticed our sign and blew us a kiss with both hands!!!!!! It was sooooooo brilliant. I grabbed my friends Aisling's hand and we were both hyperventilating! He also waved, said "I love you too" and did devil horns at us. The camera came around and my friend Susan was holding up the "A" of Evan and Avril noticed it and waved at us. Then they came on for an encore and she said "I just gotta say that you guys really broke the record tonight" which I think meant that we were a great audience. Then she said that her grandfather had died, but I hadn't heard, so I was really surprised that her voice wavered at the end of Tomorrow and she covered her face with her hand and Evan took her off stage and gave her a hug with Matt. I was almost crying because she was just so brilliant to come back on stage to dedicate the concert to him and her concert was just so brilliant anyway. Next time she comes to Ireland, I am so definately going. She actually sounds much better live than on the CD and it'll never sound the same again.

Justin's story:
I went to Avrils gig at Londons Brixtons Academy (25th March) here is my review.
Avrils opening night at London's Brixton Academy, the first of three nights, was an amazing show!. Avril and her band were on top form putting a rocking performance. Opening with Sk8ter Boi, the show was an hour and a half of full energetic pop rock with Avrils vocals more powerful and better than ever. During the set, the band performed a mean cover of Green Days' Basket Case and during Complicated, Avril got two fans to come up on stage to help her along with the lyrics!. One of the best songs of the night was Tommorow, where Avril and Evan, performed by themselves in a true acoustic fashion. Avril played guitar on numerous songs including Mobile, Naked, Things I'll never say. Avril was wearing a white vintage T-shirt with red writing and blue jeans and looking pretty cool!.What a night!!!

Neil's story:
I've been to 3 of Avril's UK gigs so far, the first being @ Birmingham Academy on Thursday night. Our Lady Peace who opened up the show seemed to get a good rapport with the crowd, getting cheered for their Anti War comments, which meant that upon Avril's entrance everyone was going mental. This show was really slick & the performance of I don't give went down really well! There was a guy who jumped up on stage with Avril for a few seconds, halfway through the set, until the security guards rushed him away. Avril joked that she didn't even get to say hi and asked what's gonna happen to the guy now! In fact later on in the show 2 more people tried the same thing but were also rushed away! There were 2 lucky members of the audience who got to sing with Avril when she invited them on stage, and a girl with a replica T-Shirt from the Sk8ter Boi video was asked by Avril how she'd got it! I did notice Avril coughing a bit towards the end of the show between songs, but a really fantastic performance was given throughout. The Manchester Apollo crowd on Friday were very into Our Lady Peace's music, however they did get booed a little when they advised the crowd of their anti-war stance, however thanked the crowd for their honesty! Avril really rocked the place again, and again invited 2 people from the audience to sing Complicated with her. The lad who got up couldn't keep his hands off her & kept hugging & kissing her overexcitedly!! Pretty funny! She dealt with it so well, just laughing. Again more coughing from Avril between songs toward the end. The Glasgow Barrowlands gig started pretty subdued on Saturday, the crowd not so receptive to Our Lady Peace and no comments were made about the war tonight! Avril made a great entrance, all songs sung really well, particularly considering that she maybe had a fever. The crowd then were going mad, very squashed at the front & hot, which Avril noticed & started to squirt the crowd at the front with water. The Glasweigan accent did prove difficult for her when the lad she invited on stage for Complicated was asked his name. After three attempts, I'm still not sure if she got it!! Avril paid tribute to the security guards in Yellow t-shirts who looked after her front row crowd by feeding water & squirting water on fans throughout. This was another class performance and the introduction of the Green Day tune Basket Case on this tour has proven to be really popular. Avril continues to get better & better!

Hiya im from the UK and just thought that i would email you. I recently went to the Avril Lavigne gig @ Manchester Apollo and it was f**kin amazing! I got to the venue at 1 so went could get to the front as we had standin tickets when round the side Avril and her band came off her tour bus stoppin to take pictures and sign autographs! They band were dead friendly i stopped and talk to matt and evan. I got a picture with matt. Avril came off then but the security would let us go near and put up bars but she happily came over to chat withthe fans and sign! I have got some great pictures from the gig and as soon as i have got then developed i will get them to you!! Dont care what anybody says about Avril i think her concept is brilliant.

just to say, i went to avrils concert in birmingham last nyt. me and my friends had travelled like 5 hours to get there n then que'd up for ages. When we finally got in we where stood rround for a bit then "our lady's peace" came on the wherent my type of band but they did a gr8 performance. BY this time we where all worn out and had lost all our energy, then the lights went out the music blasted and avril ran on stage it was like the most amazing night of my life she gave the full crowd energy and was so entertaining, lovely and down to earth. She wasnt all stuck up and she was sooooo nice to us fans she got a cupple of ppl up on stage - NOT ME :( and then 1 boy snook on stage the security guys grabbed him n dragged him away she was like "NO LEAVE HIM!!" she was so amazing, i cant even describe how gr8 she was and i am definatly gunna b at her next concert in gr8 britain. Oh yeh and she shook my hand!! lol tht just got me too excited. And for all of those ppl hu say "avril cant sing live" tht is just a load of bullshit ive never heard anyone perform as good live and sing as gr8 as avril did. yeah so last september i was walking to the mall with my friends and my m8 goes * omg, talia theres avril lavigne!* and im like, *noway thats not avril la-SHIT* then me and my m8 kazza went chasing down the road screaming *AVVVVVRRRRRIIIIIIIILLLLLL!* she turned round, grinned and said *wassup guys?* we were STARSTRUCK! i broke the ice by shouting *YOU ROCK GURL, WE LUV YA!* she was like *ya, well u fuckin' rock this world too!" we crossed the road 2 get our arms signed and kazza said *avril, can i have a hug* and she was like *ya! i love hugs* i got talking 2 jesse - hes sooooooo sweet in real life and got evan and matt and mark's autographs too! we hung and talked with avril 4 a while. she is such a nice person, down to earth, not like *oooh look at me im famous* and she really cares about her fans. so yeah i was saying that i loved her bracelet and check this, she took it off and gave it to me! i was like * woah, thanx, u rock girl* and she said *dont mention it* the kazza said *avril, i luv u like a sis!* and she smiled. we got sum stuff signed and chatted a bit and gt a couple of hugs from her and her crew and she said *u fucking rock talia, dnt 4get!* smiled and walked away waving. kazza had to hold me to stop me from fainting! then i just said *omg we met avril lavigne!* and we both cracked up. Just last Thursday I was on Avril's consert in Stockholm, Sweden. Me and my friend Ted were standing at the front of the stage, then she arrived, she is probably the cutest girl I've ever seen, and she sings great, even better live than on CD (I Think)... Any how, just after a while she stepped down from the stage and walked forward right to us so we could hold her hand, it was amazing! I think she only went this near the audience once so we were really lucky... We even got her playlist from the floor of the stage-scene after the show. Now I'm A Hard-Core Fan 4-Ever... My name is Cynthia. I met avril last year at a radio station. It was at KIIS FM with Jo-Jo on the Radio. It was so cool, because when i saw her, it was like the week that she REALLY became big! I went with 3 of my friends, since we won tickets to the in-studio audience. Well, when we walked in the room, we had to be quiet because they were recording live. It was so hard for me to keep quiet! I just wanted to scream! She looked really pretty and when i saw her face, i was like OH MY GOSH! It was really her, right in front of me. Well, her and Jo-Jo did a long interview and then during commercials and things like that, we were able to actually talk to her and get autographs. (I was taking pictures the whole time!) I had her sign millions of pictures (thanks avril) along with the cover of the CD. I remember the day that i met her was only a few days after "Let Go" came out. I was so in love with her so soon, it was crazy! Her music is awesome! When she sang live, all i could look at was her face. She sang so good, and she was so into it! I could tell nothing could come between her and her music. She wasn't wearing a tie though, and i was sad cuz i was! I was totally Avril'd out! Me and all of my friends! Well the whole interview thing went really well and it was tons of fun, but then afterwards i got to actually take pictures WITH her, not just OF her. (LOL) Everyone in the studio that went to see her ( only like 15) left the room into this hall. We all got to talk to her and take pictures. Then i remembered reading somewhere that she LOVED hugs. So i said, "Could i have a hug?" and she was like "Ya!" i was so happy, and i could tell she was too. Her "manager" people were trying to take her away, but she is so dedicated to her fans ans she just stayed and took pictures and talked for a lil while. I remember i was the first one to give her a hug, and then everyone copied me of course. But that's ok, i was the first! I have so many memories of that night and it'll be one i never forget! I'll see on May 1st in Long Beach Avril!!!!!!!!!

I met Avril at the London Astoria concert. We were waitin in the que to go into the concert and there was a bout 100 people ahead of us. Luckily tho, we were waiting right by an ally way. After arounf 30 mins of quein up, we heard a load of screams and people were rushing down the ally way. Avril had come out of a side door to greet some fans! Me and one of my best friends (Tinny) ran towards the place where all the fans were crowded round and saw Avril signing sum stuff. But before we asked her to sign our banner, she was taken back into the door (which sucked)..anyways..after the crowd of fans and gone back into the que..Tinny and me were standing by the door where Avril had gone back in..we were walkin away when the door opened again. A guy holding a proper video camera (i think it was her new DVD comin out) opened the door. Me and Tinny ran over to the door to only see Avril running up some stairs inside. I screamed "AVVVRRRILLL!!!" and she turned around with the biggest grin on her face. She was wearing this awesum t-shirt. It was black with a white skull and crossbones on it. Her hair was swept over her face and she stopped on the stairs. The camera guy was filmin me and Tinny and we just stood there dumbfounded that she had actually responded when i shouted her name. I didnt know wat to say. I was shaking and so nervous. Avril looked at us and sed hi and waved at us. We were so scared that we didnt ask for an autograph. We are so stupid..but we were star struck! We shouted Hi to her and she waved at us and ran up the stairs. The doors closed and we were just standin there with eyes wide open. We couldnt believe wat had just happened. She had actually smiled,waved and sed hi..to me! I wish we werent star struck so we cudda got her autograph but that doesnt matter. Everytime i have a bad day, or feel down..i just think of the smile on her face wen she turned around and smiled...that always brightens me up. AVRIL RULES!

Melissa's story (2nd time she met Avril!):
Okay, I had already met Avril in June at Kiss 108..and then I met her again at Mixfest and went backstage with them cause I worked there and we hung out. This time I won tickets off the radio to see her at some concert for Kiss 108. They were the first station in America to play Complicated, so she came for an exclusive concert. Anyway, The show was at 7:30..but I went there at 4:00. The place she was at was very small. The Orpheum Theatre. So anyway, I was waiting outside, and then we were allowed to go on the lobby and listen to her doing soundcheck. It was funny, she started to sing Britney Spears and Christina songs, and then for Baby one more time she was like, "I must confess..I really do..HATE THIS SHIT!!" it was funny. Anyways after that she went out a side door and went on the bus. (We didn't see her go) It was like, 5:30 and people were starting to form outside in line. All of a sudden Evan and Jesse walk right out through the front door to go to theyre tour bus..and Jesse walks right by me. I'm like, "Hey!" And he didnt remember me at first, and then I was like, "Dude..fleet center...september 21, mixfest, backstage." And hes like, "Holy shit..Melissa, right??" I was like yeah dude thats me! We were talking for like 15 minutes. About the show, the tour bus, canada..nobody even realized it was him. Until I took a picture of him. And then fans started to tap me on the shoulder and were like, "hey dont mean to interrupt, but can I take a picture with him?" So I moved outta the way and they took it. It was so cool chilling with him. He signed my cell phone, and then we talked about stupid stuff..we were just being stupid all together. it was so cool how he remembered me. And then alot of people started to ask for pictures..so he smiled for all of them, and I felt bad cause it was his only time off before the show. So I was like, "alright guy..get outta here.." and i gave him a copy of the pictures I took with him and Avril in September at Mix fest. He was like, "Aw wow, we're gonna hang this on the bus now.." So he gave me a hug and left to go on the bus..and 10 minutes later her came back and was like, "hey come here for a minute," So i followed him and he was taking me to the tour bus. I'm like..HOLY SHIT. He said Avril had remembered me and she wanted to say Hi or something, I don't remember. So I went on, and Avril was sitting on the floor..looking at the pictures of me, her and jesse that I gave to her!! Charlie was on the couch and Matt was in the back room on the phone, and Evan was just sitting down next to Charlie. She saw me and was like, "Dude! What the hell is up??" And she gave me a hug. lol..I was like not a damn thing! So I sat down on the couch across from Charlie and I dropped my camera on the floor..Jesse picked it up and asked how much film I had. I told him a whole roll..and that he should take some pix. So he grabbed my camera and decided he wanted to take pix of everybody on the bus. I was like, "Don't just smile though..do something funny." So they all pretty much did the same thing..gave the finger, lol. He took one of everyone, and then he went to take one of Avril, and shes like, "No..I don't got any makeup on..don't do it...jesse..DONT." He's like, "Come on Avril, youre hot, let me do it. You look like Britney right now." So she kept looking down, looking at my pictures and she just gave the finger and he took the picture. It was funny. Charlie was SO HIGH it wasnt even funny..I think Avril might have been too..her eyes were a little red. But I'm not sure. We talked for like 15 minutes again..I dont really remember what it was about I was so pumped. She just said shit about how much fun it is to be on tour, and how her dreams are coming true..and that everything kicks ass. And then she got my pictures and she hung one of them up on the wall..some push pin thing..and then she got another one and hung it on her middle bunk. It was so cool. then i was like, "hey guys..you hafta gimme ur email address or something," they didn't have aol...some internet thingy...but Evan gave me his cause hes the only one that actually goes on........ It sucks, cause I can't even rememebr exactly what was said..I just remember little bits and pieces of the conversation. I wanted them to sing "I dont give a damn," for the show..cause they were doing it during sound check..but Avril said she didn't like how the bridge sounds, so theyre gonna do it for their headlining tour, along with Britney parodies. Avril wouldnt really take any pictures, she was still sick..and she didnt look too good. But pictures werent important, just hanging out with them was cool. Cause I already have pix with Avril..and I even got a few with Jesse and Evan..so that was enough for me. It was just such a great experience. How many people can actually say there is a pic of them Hanging up on Avril's tour bus...and wait..how many fans can actually say THEY HUNG OUT WITH AVRIL AND HER BAND AND WENT ON HER TOUR BUS? LOLZ..Avril rocks. It was time to go..they had the show in a bit..so I gave them all hugs and I started to walk off the bus. It was SO KICK ASS. The show was almost starting, so I went inside the theatre with my friends. The opening act was on..and i didnt care much for them, so we stood around..and guess who we bump into..AGAIN? Jesse, lol. I'm like, "dude what are you doing here?" hes like, "I gotta go pee and I cant find the bathroom!" He had accidently walked into the girls bathroom, lol. So we showed him where the guys bathroom were and he left and pissed. lol..the show was starting, we had like 20th row..but we moved up to the front...it was a great show..she sang pretty much every song on her CD...and then towards the end of the show, Jesse got the microphone and yelled, "Melissa..thanks for showing me where to piss!!" lol nobody got it..but I did..and then Avril was like, "What the hell happened between you two?" she laughed and then was like, "Thanks Mel." and that was it..it was SO AWESOME..the show was over and there was an after party. Jesse told me they could get us in..cuz it was 21+...but we couldnt get in cause the bouncer didn't believe us. so me and my friends decided that was enough excitement for one night..they are coming back to Boston for a show in May..so we'll just hang out then....LOL..I had the best week. I hung out with the most kick ass people ever...ROCK ON!

My friends an I attended the promo Fairview Mall performance in Toronto. Well, my friend had a book of poems she wanted to give Avril, to let her know how much she inspires her. Sure enough my friend Megan HAD TO have a smoke � so we went outside and we got to talking with Avril�s SUV driver and her close friends that work with Avril, basically her on the road crew , they were two women, very sweet. My friend Rebecca kindly asked them if they would give her book of poems and junk to Avril? She started flipping through the pages and asked if she could read them� and said .. wow this is really neat, Avril will love this !! � So she runs inside and gives Avril the book of poems and junk .. and comes back with a nifty little autograph� we about jumped out of our knickers !! lol � and I told Rebecca .. I told you so !!!! That was my experience � I wish we could of talked longer to them � longer than we did anyways .. because we did talk to them for over an hour while she was signing autographs �it was exciting .. what can I say � :]

MG!!! AVRIL FRIGGIN ROCKS!!! It all started when my mom asked me to go with her to Atlanta to help babysit my baby cousin while my uncle was out of town. My aunt needed help. I like Atlanta so I said yes. So, Saturday morning, we left Huntsville,AL at about 8 AM and got to Atlanta about 12 est time. Well, we dragged our stuff in my aunt and uncle's house and plopped onto the couch. My aunt asked how the drive was and we said good. Then she stood up to grab something. She then said to me that my uncle, Matt, had come home early and he had this thing to go to tonight. But that she didn't want to go. Then she said, "Have you heard of Daniel Bettingfield and Craig David?" Those were the magic words!! I had known that Avril was playing with those guys in Atlanta the very day we arrived!! How the heck could I have forgotten. I had seen tickets on Ebay because the show sold out in like 3 days. I was thinking "OH MY GOD!! YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!" Then, she handed me these blue stickers. "Oh yeah, I also got BACKSTAGE PASSES." That was it!! I started freakin out!! "I'M GONNA MEET AVRIL!! I'M GONNA MEET AVRIL!!!" That's what I was yelling as I was jumpin up and down!! My aunt had won tickets from Q100, the radio station in Atlanta. She and her mom had been trying for a long time. *THANK YOU KATHY & KATHY'S MOM & MATT!!* I had no idea that I was going to do anything this weekend and now I was going to Avril's concert AND WAS GONNA GET TO MEET HER ON TOP OF THAT!!! So at about 2:30 pm we left to go to the meet and greet which was at 3:40. I don't know why we left that early because we froze our butts off waiting for 45 minutes. But it waz WELLLLLLL worth it. So anywayz, after we got inside, we had to wait about 30 more minutes. They finally came out and said that they were taking 10 people at a time. So we figured we(my uncle and me) would go with the second group since about 10 people had already rushed up. So we waited about 5 more minutes. Then it was our turn. I was kinda hoppin down in place. I was nervous. Cause, I mean, come on!! IT'S AVRIL LAVIGNE!!! So they took us back into this room. And she was just standin there. So they wanted to take a group picture. They said tall people in back, and short people in front. So my uncle shoved me to the front RIGHT NEXT TO AVRIL!!!! Avril was flippin her out of her face and it hit me in the face. But I don't care. So they took the picture. Then they were like Thanks for coming. Don't forget to grab a goody bag on the way out. And I was like uh....that's it. I had brought my hockey goalie helmet for her to sign. I kind collect signatures on it plus Avril played hockey when she was younger so I thought it would be something cool for her to sign. But some lady just came over to Avril and kinda pulled her away right after the pic was taken. And Avril just walked away. I felt like saying "Hey Avril!! Wuts up??" but I couldn't. I was kinda dissapointed. So we got outside and everybody was kinda griping. SO my uncle stands up and motions for me to come with him and bring the helmet. He walks up to one of the DJs (The one with "Lavigne" on the back of his Thrashers hockey jersey. He had one for Daniel and Craig too) and asks him if he could take my helmet back to be signed. I handed him the helmet and Sharpie. He said he would try. So we sat back down. And about 3 minutes later he motions us to come to him. He hands me the helmet AND SHE SIGNED IT RIGHT BY HER PIC I TAPED TO MY HELMET!! I was like "THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!! THANK YOU MR. DJ!!" He said not to mention it, because then everybody else would want one too. So we pretended like nothing happened. But I kinda felt bad about it because it sorta gives Avril a bad image, like she won't even sign autographs. I was dying to tell the nice people at our table because I knew they wouldn't blab. But I didn't. And I hope nobody got the wrong idea about Avril. So we left after a few minutes and went to the CNN center and Underground Atlanta to eat. When we got back, everybody had already gone down to the concert area. Now, before I go any further, let me explain what was in the goody bag. We got a Q100 t-shirt, pen, and sticker, and an autographed pic of Avril, and pics of the DJs and this POS disposable camera. THE TICKET SAID NO VIDEO OR CAMERAS!!! And when we got back, they didn't even check us for CAMERAS!! I could've brought my mom's digital and got like 200 QUALITY PICS BUT NO!!!! I'm never following that stupid rule again. So anywayz...we went into the concert area. The Tabernacle used to be a church so there was this HUGE organ behind the stage. Basically we had two choices of seating: Go sit in the nosebleed section or go party in the mosh pit. MOSH PIT!!!!! We started out about 10 or 15 feet from the stage and gradually moved closer. We waited about 45 minutes for Daniel Bettingfield to open up. Finally, it started. Me and my uncle were about bored to tears during Daniel Bettingfield and Craig David so I won't go into that at all. FINALLY!!! Avril time!! We had to wait about another 30-45 minutes for Avril and the guys' crew to set up, but it was worth it. The DJs came out to announce Avril. And this kid that we had met outside before the meet & greet was up on stage. They had asked him if he would dance on stage. That kid can dance!! He was awesome. Then they finally announced her. Matt came out first and started to warm up the crowd by drummin a little. Then they all burst out onto the stage and started playin "Sk8er Boi"!! I don't think I stopped bouncin up and down the whole song!!! It was AWESOME!!! They kept playing and rockin out. Any of you haters that say Avril can't play the guitar need to get real. She played guitar for "Naked" and another song. I can't remember what it was. I want to say "My World" or "Mobile" but I'm not sure. If anybody wants to e-mail me and tell me, go right ahead. Well, they stopped playing for a second and Jesse started to pump up the crowd. He was like "This crowd fuckin ROCKS!!" and we all yellled!! Then they started playing again. Then they took another small rest. And Jesse was drinking some water. And he sprayed the crowd and I got a huge drop right on the forehead!! *THANKS JESSE!!!* Then Evan threw his guitar pic out into the crowd right before they played "Complicated"!! Of course all of us dove onto the floor trying to find it but it was so dark no one could. Some people were still looking for it, but I didn't wanna miss the song. Avril also jumped into the crowd several times too. Then they all threw Pixy Stix into the crowd. One hit me in the shoulder. *Maybe they were aiming for me?!?!? :)* I was like, "I GOT A PIXY STIX!!!" over and over again. :) The concert was so freakin awesome!!! I got some pics on that crappy disposable camera. But they didn't turn out the best. But they are okay. All too soon it was over. My ears rang and my knees hurt from jumpin up and down but I didn't care. We started to leave and I see something on the ground. I bend down and IT'S EVAN'S GUITAR PIC!! I jumped up and down and yelled "HOLY SH**!! I GOT THE PIC!!!" Some girls were like wow!! They looked jealous too. *BTW, Evan's the blonde hottie!!:)* We fought our way to the lobbie and saw some Avril merchandise. So we climbed the stairs. I saw a hoodie that I wanted and some t-shirts. So my uncle bought a black hoodie that says Avril and has her sillhoute on it. When we got in the car I couldn't sit still. I was rockin back and forth replaying the concert in my head. Oh yeah!! I forgot about the drunk guy that was pissing off people. Oh well. He was an idiot!! Anyways... That concert totally rocked!! I can't wait till she comes back there in May. The radio station said they worked out a deal and she'll be back. Maybe I'll get to go. I hope so. That waz an AWESOME experience and I thank my aunt,Kathy, my uncle,Matt, and my mom for taking me!! Avril Had a show here in Atlanta for one of the on the brick's show's. so me and my family and boyfriend went. we had alot of fun. the show was great. so when the show was over we went 2 the gate 2 see if anyone was ther and are luck there was her band. (matt,Even,mark&Jesse)so we snag some autograghs and then we relize that my moms friend work's the stage so he come's off stage and give's me the towel she used and the red star braclet that she had on (at the show and in the complicated video) and he said that she already left. but then after we walked off he came and found us and said she was still there so we got 2 go backstage and meet her she was really nice.

Ok, I was in Rome,last July, found out that she was doing an appearance @ MTV TRL (Total Request Live) in Rome (YAHOOOOO!) on 8Th/July (Damn!! I was leaving on 4TH) so I asked my sister to go there and take some pics, thankfully she did.A couple of days b4 leaving for London I read on internet that she was doing a concert in London on 9th/july (YAHOOOOOO!), I really didn`t want to miss that one so logged on internet to book a ticket,guess what?... SOLD OUT, rang the agencies... NO CHANCE (FUCK!!!!!!)I couldn`t miss my chance to see her live (again). So I decided to go to the place some time b4 the show and see if, maybe someone would have had a spare tickets. Went there, found few people, started chatting to them and realized that most of `em couldn`t find tickets either! (WHAT?!?!)Some thought that it was a night organized for record companies people!

(Read this: I chatted with a canadian guy (lots of canadians there), he told me he flew over to london just 4 that,didn`t have ticket, but found an american guy, there too,who sold him a spare 1 for � 180!!!!) He must have been a fucking weirdo!!! considering that face price was �8.50. I would have paid up to �30.)

So 19.30 doors opened, everybody got in to the bar.(The place was a sorta club, bar downstairs, stage upstairs, Ticket needed to get ur ass up there!)I took a smirnoff Ice (�2.50 pretty cheap, uh?) to cool down my anger, kept chatting to people here and there to see if they ve found a way to get in (I must admit I was the most active one). A couple of guys got in by passing to each other the stamp they put in you hand once u give them the ticket. but still nothing 4 me! :(

Everyone was consuming at the tables in the bar when all of a sudden Avril walked out there, nobody spotted her, but I did (YAHOOOOO!!!), approached her, got her to sign my CD (at that point everybody saw us), took pics with `n of her!!! I was already over the moon, but it`s not over yet. While everyone was all over her, I noticed some chicks talking to one of her people and litterally begging him to be put in the guest list, he finally broke down and agreed! once those girls finished, I asked him nicely and, thank God, after checking with some other guy he got me in!!! I was over mars now!!!!! no one else got in 4 free that night, in fact a lot of people i saw outside, didn`t see inside!

The performance was brilliant and everybody was so happy about it. With a live gig u can really appreciate her great voice.After the concert she had an autograph session. she really is a nice and cool chick, grounded and always available for the fans.

July 2, 2002
The concert was at cranes roost park in orlando and I got some hotel info b/f we drove down there from pensacola. We choose the closest one to the park the we could so I could walk down there real early in the morning and pick out any seat I wanted, yea I'm pretty smart huh! I had no idea that we were staying in the same hotel as avril lavigne and all the other bands that were�blah blah blah I didn't care about them. I was there for avril only. I made buddies with one of the guys who worked in the hotel and he got me avril's room number, I WAS STOKED! I knew what it was even before she did hah! (ssshhhhhhhhh!)
Ok , this is how it all began�I was at the closest hotel possible (.2 miles) from where the concert was gunna be (outside concert) and I was bored cuz well, what the hell do u do at hotels besides hangout? There were all these skank ass groupies that were waiting for some retarded boy band er somethng. But they eventually got bored of waiting and left for steak and shake, thank god. So I was outside just ya know incase avril might show up and I brought my camera which I might add, I did not know it didn't have a flash on it, shit. So I was just sitten there outside on one of the benches chillin like a villain, heh and then all the sudden here comes this huge white limo and I was like damn it, its probably aaron carter er some fuckin retard. But I had a strange feeling. So I just sat there acting all casual and the back door opened and a man with gray hair stepped out, shit not her. But right behind him, I see this really short punk lookin chick step out of the limo. My heart raced like hell and adrenaline shot through my stomach. I walked over there and she was about 4'11. Now guys u have to remember that I am 5'8 and I was like holy shit your cute! I completely towered over her :) I noticed she was exhausted from flying all the way from toronto the same day. I told her that I had driven so far to come watch her perform, then I got to hug her! HAH! I'm sure she heard my voice shake just a little bit. I was trying too keep my kewl but I found it was more difficult than I expected. I had been wanting and I made sure that I told her how much I respected her and just to let her know that I had been through a lot of the stuff she wrote about in her songs so i understood�AND HER EYES SMILED! I asked if I could get a picture of me and her and she said yeah sure. So i gave my fuckin cheap kroger-brand camera WITH NO GOD DAMN FLASH to a guy and it might have been her drummer, i can't remember, but he took it and she sorta put her head on my shoulder like she could go to sleep right there which was fine with me! I talked to her manager (i thought it was her mom heh) and asked avril if she had a concert like .."Today." she said *in Toronto.* Well u know me, I sure as fuck wasn't about to just leave. I wanted to stay around her a little longer, make that forever, but her band was carrying all the guitars and equipment in and they went to the front desk to check in with their managers and whoever else. I was behind her while they were doin all this. Soon the little skanky groupies returned from steak n shake were like oh my god, avrils here. May I mention that the dirtiest one of the butt sluts was totally dissing avril about 25 minutes before and then she was all like I love u-whatever crap to her. I kinda had a desire to kick her in the head but I didn't feel like erupting a mosh pit with a bunch of fuckin preps at the moment. (They're not woth it) Avril didn't seem to really like n e of them cuz she could tell they were fake. And just for the record, she didn't put her head on n e body else's shoulder!!! HAH! I took pictures of her with those girls, hey! Pictures are pictures and avril was in them! So I can just cut the other ppl out. I talked to avril and asked her why she didn't have her skateboard and about their sk8tr boi video that's gunna be shot this month. I asked her if she would sign my cd the next day cuz I didn't have it with me at the moment. She smiled and said sure. I was glad I knew what I was talking about and knew about all of her songs, not just complicated, she seemed to notice. A girl I was hangin around earlier brought her accoustic guitar and had avril sign it. Just b/f avril left for her room I got another hug in!! I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night! I was flippin out and runnin back and forth jumpin on the beds in our room silently screaming, I JUST MET AVRIL, I JUST FUCKIN MET AVRIL.....WHOOO HOOOO! I went to bed at 2 am and got up at 5:30 am��

July 3, 2002 (The Red Hot and Boom concert)

I went down to the park with a cup of coffee in my hand around 6 am. Nothing really happened except tons of people brought boom boxes and guess which song they played all day long�? U guessed it, complicated. I was the 3rd "party" to get there. I had to sit through, criss, lmnt, soluna, bayje, allana, bad moon mike, a1 and a bunch of other people I didn't care about cuz I REALLY don't like pop. Thank god aaron carter and o town played after avrilI because I would have been so mad having to sit through that shit. I waited there for around 14 hours till it was time for avril to come on!!! Ahhh finally! Some old fat guy was throwing out glow stick bracelets to people in the audience and I made sure I got one so that avril would see me. There was around 150,000 people there and I was the most excited one out of all of them, you knew that. I had the same red hurley surf shirt I had on the night before when I met avril cuz it was the only half decent shirt I brought with me. I had my dickies on as well as a side ways incubus hat. As soon as avril came on, I was screaming so loud and so hard and jumping up and down the whole time with my hands in the air singing every word! \m/ (>_<) \m/ (I'm hardcore) I was the most active person there. I couldn't stand still. People were screaming but not as much or as loud as I was. She kicked my ass so much that night! Avril and her band were the only ones all day to walk up the dock and get face to face with her fans. The place went nuts when she jumped off stage and came twords us! She sang sk8er boi, nobody's fool, my world, losing grip, complicated and that was supposto be her last song and the crowd had sorta died down. Don't get me wrong there was a lot of loud people there but it got a little quite for a moment at the end. Well shit, I was still screaming my head off that people around me started screaming loud again and well, soon the whole fuckin place was going insane. So they allowed her to play one more song! Unwanted, which just happens to be one of my favorite songs on the cd!!! Theres a couple of things that happened in between the songs. In the middle of either sk8er boi or nobody's fool, someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned around and there was a huge camera in my face and the words "avril fuckin rules" went through my head but I managed to just say avril rules really loud cuz I was live on a 25 foot screen infront of the hotel. I didn't care if I was on tv or not, I was havin WAY too much fun watchin avril. During unwanted, I was jamming so hard (thats how the camera found me by the way cuz I was the only one jumping like hell the whole time) avril spotted my green glow in the dark bracelet and she jumped up on the metal gate on the 3rd time and pointed at me and did the 'rock on' gesture with her hand. \m/ <~~~ I pointed right back at her and immediately started rockin out again. I fell on some one about 4 times hah, they got a little irritated. But how they felt about me was the last thing on my mind. My arms in the air whole time and soon my muscles got so exhausted. I thought I was gunna pass out a couple of times but I just stayed strong. After it was all over, I was still screamin and ppl were starin at me, so? Did I give a fuck? hell no. I ran back to the hotel so I could meet her again but there was security everywhere. And the 2 cops that were guarding the halls were mean as fuck. They made us stand behind a wall and we couldn't look around the corner to see when avril came in. But she had to go do an hour and a half of interviews. So I went back to my hotel room and got my cd and my gramma's 200 dollar camera which had a flash on it and went back down stairs. I hung out there for about 20 minutes er until i see her band walk in. They are really kewl, really sociable. Except for Evan, hes never around and he always looks hurt er sad er something. Well we were havin fun hangin out with the guys and I got a wicked rad picture of me and them. Soon they left and I went back to upstairs and waited for a little while, then went back to the hallway. The cops kicked all of us outside and were bitching at us the whole time. I started talking to a guy named anthony and we both decided that we couldn't wait any longer. We had to get around these cops somehow. So he went around the outside of the hotel and found an unlocked door. The damn fire exit, the god damn fire exit! He came back and took me over there. We totally fuckin scored! This door was in a boxed off room that only had the emergency stairs in it. We looked at eachother and were like holy shit, and ran up! He kept saying how we needed to find out what floor Avril was on and I explained to him that I had gottin all that from one of the guys who worked at the hotel. So we sat by the room beside Avril's so we didn't look suspicious (sneaky sneaky). We made up a huge story how we were cousins and how we were supposto meet out friends here in 15 minutes hah. Well Anthony went over and noticed her curtains were a little open in the corner of the window. He looks in the room and said, "I see someone's back pack, I'm pretty sure theres no one in there.." I said no way am I lookng in her room. He said theres no one in there. So I went over and peaked in. SCORE! The same camouflaged back pack that avril was wearing when she arrived was sitting on a chair in her room. You should have seen the look on his face when I told him it was hers. So we sat there and only waited for about 6 minutes when here comes Avril around the corner with her drummer. (I thought it was her drummer, but Anthony said it was Evan, hah i don't remember which on of the guys it was) I immediately stand up and smile. She smiled and asked, "How'd you guys know which room I was in?" I just said "uummmmmmm..." and the dood said, "You guys did a little research huh?" We laughed and said yeah. Avril knew who I was right away. I said, "I saw u point at me..! My mom didn't believe me when I told her u did." She kept smiling and said "yea!" I asked her if I could get another picture with her cuz my last camera didn't have a flash on it. She pretty much grabbed me and "the dood" took the picture. Anthony got a picture with her too. I pulled out my cd out of my bag and gave it to her with a sharpie and she wrote, "Jenna! girl u fuckin rock - Avril Lavigne." Fuck yeah! Thats wicked awesome! Avril thinks I not only rock, but I fuckin rock!!! As she signs it, she asked me what my favorite song on the cd was. I said unwanted, just cuz I had been through all she talks about in the song. I gave her a great big hug and as soon as we both let go she kissed me on the cheek, and u had better believe i kissed her back!!! It blew me the fuck away! I felt soooo special. It still won't penetrate through my head how much she took to me. Its hard not to smile everytime I think about it :) Well people were starting to gather around us and me and anthony left. I don't know why we left, I don't know why we didn't hang around for a little while longer but I guess I had so much adrenaline inside that I really didn't know what to do. And besides, I wanted avril to be with all of her fans, not just me. Anthony and I went outside and I went up to a couple of crowds, and I put my hands in the air and said, "Avril lavigne just hugged and kissed me!!" People stared at me in awe and started following us. So we got the hell outta there. Soon anthony went home and I went back in to the hotel and up to my room. I talked to a couple of people in the elevator and told them all about it. Their mouths dropped and one guy grabbed my hand and immediately said, "Hi, I'm nathan and thats (whoever)" he like rubbed my hand as if he was trying to get Avril's skin cells off mine and on to his. What a weirdo I thought. I went back up to my room and once again started running around jumping from bed to bed laughing! I was flipped out! Well I took a shower and went to sleep, tried to anyway *again*. I kept thinking about avril, damn chick wouldn't get out of my mind.

July 4, 2002 (Its not over yet!)

I got up around 7:30ish and went back to Avril's hallway. No cops, thank god. I saw some of the ppl that had been around the night before and I just hung out with them for a while. We got to talk to Bayje, shes only 13 years old but she has an amazing voice. Her manager went up stairs and got us t-shirts. Hey, free t-shirts are kewl! She just doesn't know how to rock the crowd but anyway. We saw Evan (guitarist) come out of the elevator. He's kinda shy er closed er something, nervous? I don't know, he doesn't talk much to his fans. His dad called him on his cell phone and he said hi dad happy 4th of July, and then he left. Mark (bassets and he kicks ass. And Mark! If you read this, where the hell did you get ur camouflaged chuck taylors?!!!)Anyway, he came down about 20 minutes later. He had a huge hangover. He looked a little sick cuz they had partied and got trashed outta their minds untill the cops came the night before, hah. AND I COULD HAVE BEEN UP THERE WITH THEM BUT I FUCKING LEFT! I guess Mark went up to the front desk and later I see Avril come out of the elevator. I run over to her in my pjs and she smiles at me. Everybody follows me and the 5 of us are standing with her. Shes got this huge giant black roller suitcase that shes dragging and she explained to us how everything in it is her life. Well, I can understand that. If I spent most of my time in airports airplanes and hotels, I'd have all my shit with me too. Not to mention shes on a world tour. I gave her a note I had written he night before and she smiled and put it in her pocket. Damn I'm good at making this girl smile huh! And that was it. The people I was with wanted to get a picture with her. I took the picture and these people were really preppy and she sorta looked at them like, what the fuck are u wearing? HAH. She smiled at me again, walked away and that was the last time I saw her :( I went back to my hotel room packed up and we left back to Pensicola.
Whoooo Hoooooo! July 3rd was the most increadible night of my life. I got to meet my hero and she saw how her music moved through me and thats exactly what I wanted her to see. We just made sence to eachother, it was amazing.

I first loved avril since i heard her on TRL, it was carson's pick and i loved the song! I went to about every cd store in cleveland (i live here).i couldn't find her cd! so then i watched TRL every day listening to the song. Then one day i heard them say her cd came out june 4th! i knew i just had to get it! it was only like may 20th. So i waited and waited. I downloaded her song off kazaa, i went to her website, i did everything to keep my mind off waiting for her cd! Finally it was june 4th! I went to the mall first thing and bought her cd. I was amazed caus eit was only like $7.00! i would have bought it even if it were $20.00! i went home right away and listened to it. I LOVED IT! i called my friend jill and told her she just had to buy the cd! she got it too and loved it! not as much as i did tho!it was like july 18th or something and me, jill, amy, and kelsey were totaly in to avril! we were gonna go out to a moie and it was frieday so it was the friday section. we looked at the concerts and AVRIL LAVIGNE was playing at the rock and roll hall of fame!!!!!!! we all got up and jumped for exitment! that minute we called ticket master and bought 7 tickets!!! 4 for us and 3 for our parents hoo r also into avril lavigne!we were already done picking out our outfits and the concert was in like 2 weeks!the day finally came (july 30th) and we all wore the same thing.... baggy capris, a whie tank top, and a TIE! we were sooo exited on teh way there. when we got there we all were in line. we got there like 4 hours early!we stood there for a while. then we played cards. it seemed like everyone was staring at us! we didnt care! we finally got to the door.

I was sitting at home in in England around june the 20th - trying to figure out how could get to america to see Avril - i was on her website checking out tour dates when i get a popup saying - AVRIL IN THE UK. London of course but hey - its only 580 miles away. So i booked all my tickets, train, hotel everything.

Tuesday - July 9th - i arrive in london - Avril t-shirt on!! yay. Finally 7pm. i find the Monarch pub and wonder what an American idol is doing playing a little pub in London - thought flys straight out of my head as i walk in the door as standing in front of me is --- AVRIL YAHHH. I get photos - autographs - my shirt signed - HUGS -WHOOO. Walk in to the little upstairs room for the gig and find that her record company has paid for everyones drinks for the night. Take loads of pictures and have the best night of my life.

Next gig in London is Sep 13th - guess what!!! -- tickets booked - YEAH AVRIL RULES

i was sitting at home and on my compu..and i was on msn with all my friends in one convo...and one of my friends mentioned avril was going to be at fairview mall tommorow..and that you can get wristband to go meet her and get her autograph,...we were all like LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!! so like at midnight...we jet over to my friends house to have a sleepover and cut up all of our clothes and spell avril and sk8er boi everywhere..lol. Then we stayed up all night...and waiting until like 3 to go to fairview mall and wait for 4 hours to get wristbands!! we waitied in line forevere...and a couple of hours we bumped into people we knew [and didnt necararly like] and wanted to stand it line with us...lol..we were kinda like hell no..anyway after we got our wrist bands we had to wait at fairview from 9 to 4 to get good seats for her concert...and after get her autograph..overall the dai was aweosme!!!
