Rumors are flying that Brody Jenner is shopping around plans to star in a reality TV show with Avril.  Brody is denying it now, and Avril  has said that she will never do a TV show, but Brody has been outshined by the Kardashian sisters on their reality show, and Avril has a new album to promote this fall, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes of the rumor.  Anything that lets us see more of Avril sounds great!

According to Sony Music, Avril’s next album is on schedule to be released in October, with a single released in July.  Since it’s been over 3 years since the release of The Best Damn Thing, we hope that this schedule is accurate and we only have to wait a couple more months for some new songs!

After weeks of rumors, matching tattoos and photos of them kissing in a car, Avril and Brody have confirmed that they are officially a couple!  They were spotted at a club in L.A. together kissing and cuddling in public, leaving no doubt about the status of their relationship.

Here’s a photo of the happy couple out in a bar a couple weeks ago.  It will be interesting to see if this relationship is a rebound after Avril’s divorce, or if it turns out to be true love!

Avril appeared at the closing ceremonies of the Olympics and performed “My Happy Ending” and “Girlfriend” while looking great in a red dress.  Take a look at the video of her performance below and let us know what you think about it!

Avril went to the premier of Alice in Wonderland last night in London, and then was spotted leaving a club with her former husband later in the evening.  Are they really just friends as Avril says, or is she having second thoughts about filing for divorce?

Earlier this month, it was announced that Avril had signed a deal to promote Proactiv, and now the ads are live!

Avril has been laying low for quite a while as she recovers from the end of her marriage to Deryck Whibley, but she is now out promoting her song for the new movie Alice in Wonderland.  She said that she started off by doing a collaboration with Disney for her clothing line, and they accepted her offer to write the theme song for the movie!

Avril was a guest judge on American Idol this week.  She watched auditions in L.A. and commented on the stream of aspiring singers that auditioned for the show, along with the regular judges of the show.

Avril seemed to be impressed by Mary Powers’ cover of “Love Is a Battlefield,” but spent most of her time trying not to laugh at all of the poor singers attempting to land a spot on the show.

It has been reported for weeks that Avril and her husband have split up, but it became official today.  Avril has filed for divorce from Deryck Whibley citing irreconcilable differences.

This must be a sad day for her, but hopefully she will be able to move on and create some new music soon.

Avril posted a note on her website today saying that she has separated from her husband of 3 years, Deryck Whibley.  She says that they are moving forward on a positive note, and that they will still be friends.
